Overview

AI Strategy and Innovation Manager — Part Time, one year contract. Onsite 3 days per week prorated to effort. We offer full benefits (medical, dental, vision).

Location: San Francisco, CA. Campus: Mission Bay (SF). Work style: Flexible. Shift: Days. Shift Length: Variable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AI strategy and product development to design and deliver innovative AI-enabled solutions that advance global health research, education, and operations at IGHS.
  • Manage large-scale, cross-functional projects and multiple AI-enabled products, services, and enterprise enhancements across interdepartmental collaborations.
  • Resolve complex issues without precedent or structure, applying advanced knowledge of AI product/service development practices.
  • Build consensus across diverse stakeholders and promote responsible use of AI to improve health outcomes worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor' s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • 5+ years directly relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of product development concepts, practices, standards and processes
  • Proven ability to identify key issues critical to the organization's long-range success of a desired product or service
  • Proven ability to research, collect and analyze information to determine product options or alternatives
  • Advanced organization and project management skills to lead large or multiple cross-functional teams
  • Advanced oral communication skills to effectively present, negotiate, convey and explain information
  • Advanced written communication skills to draft clear, concise documentation, reports and specifications
  • Ability to lead, build consensus and promote the exchange of information among project team, internal and external constituencies
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,400 - $235,400 (Annual Rate). The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range depends on work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement is guided by the collective bargaining agreement.
