Visual Merchandiser at Target

Pay range: $29.00 - $49.30 per hour. Pay is based on factors including labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. Responsibilities

• Support a great guest experience by ensuring visual moments are set and maintained to company guides and visual standards to drive sales and inspire guests.
• Develop expertise in visual presentation, including elevated merchandising techniques, mannequin styling, mapping and fixture blocking, and In Store Marketing (ISM) elements.
• Plan daily/weekly visual workload with guidance to align with sales goals, events, and promotions.
• Execute weekly visual assessments and partner with leaders to improve store visual execution and guest experience.
• Assess and guide the execution of visual standards across the total store to elevate visual presentations.
• Support and validate the execution of all visual presentations in the store in partnership with leaders.
• Set overhead spotlights to highlight key merchandising presentations and adjust sets to create inspiring visuals.
• Collaborate with leaders to solve merchandising issues and maintain engaging displays.
• Train and coach team members to improve visual merchandising skills and adherence to standards.
• Communicate and support onboarding, continuous learning, and knowledge transfer related to visual standards.
• Demonstrate inclusivity, ethical conduct, safety, and compliance in daily work.
• Greet guests and assist them in a welcoming manner; engage with guests to solve their needs.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 to 2 years of visual merchandising experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Business acumen (margin, profitability) and creativity to inspire guests and drive sales
• Strong understanding of trends and style aligned with the Target brand
• Ability to lead and influence store teams to follow processes that support visual merchandising
• Effective communication skills; ability to use multiple devices and handheld scanners
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; manage workload and prioritize tasks
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish tasks within timeframes
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays

Physical/Other Requirements

• Access to all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed and handle merchandise safely
• Occasionally lift up to 44 pounds; frequently handle merchandise up to 15 pounds
• Flexible schedule; reliable attendance required
