Sales Lead, Part Time 25 Hours Weekly Geary Street Thrift Store — $20.00 hourly

Responsibilities

  1. Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards (CNO Standards), and donations.
  2. Assumes responsibility for all day-to-day store operations (including personnel and cash handling) in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. Discuss concerns with District Sales Manager.
  3. Assists Store Manager to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals set by Command Retail Directors and Command Administration.
  4. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, schedules store employees to ensure appropriate coverage in store and donation center. Coordinates daily morning and shift-change team meetings. Provides coaching, training, and development to store employees. Responsible for processing of paperwork per Review Standards, especially relating to Time and Attendance compliance.
  5. Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service to meet needs while maintaining good community relations. Develop strategies to improve service to maximize the customer experience.
  6. BRP (Back Room Processing) – Support Store Manager to ensure Back Room Processors/Warehouse Associates work effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals.
  7. Responsible for supervision, support, and reporting of program Beneficiaries if Work Therapy Assignments are placed in the store.
  8. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, responsible for protection and security of store currency, inventory, and property, including safe funds, deposits, products for sale, equipment, and building security.
  9. Ensure the building is secured during non-operating hours with alarm system arming and alert protocol.
  10. Ensure safety measures are established and maintained consistent with ARC policy and governmental regulations; report safety issues and incidents immediately. Assist with conducting and recording mandatory weekly store meetings.
  11. May transfer or be relocated to other stores based on business needs.
  12. Complete all tasks as assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors, and Command Administration.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers, and donors.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  2. Assume responsibility for day-to-day store operations (including personnel and cash handling) in the absence of Store/Assistant Manager; discuss concerns with District Sales Manager.
  3. Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive store sales and profitability as budgeted and directed by leadership.
  4. In absence of Store/Assistant Manager, schedule staff to ensure coverage; coordinate meetings; coach, train, and develop employees; ensure Time and Attendance compliance.
  5. Maintain high levels of customer and donor satisfaction and develop strategies to improve the customer experience.
  6. Support Back Room Processing to meet daily processing goals.
  7. Supervise, support, and report on Beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place.
  8. Protect store currency, inventory, and property, including deposits and security protocols.
  9. Ensure building security during non-operating hours and maintain alarm protocols.
  10. Ensure safety measures align with ARC policy and regulations; report incidents; assist with weekly store meetings.
  11. May be relocated to other stores based on business needs.
  12. Complete all tasks as assigned by leadership.
