Litigation Paralegal, Hybrid Schedule

Description:

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a certified female-owned law firm with offices across California. Their San Francisco office is seeking a Defense Litigation Paralegal to join their collaborative, award-winning team. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule (on-site and remote). The Paralegal will support attorneys in all stages of litigation, from case preparation to trial, ensuring the efficient and organized handling of documents, research, and case management.

Responsibilities

  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
  • Regularly communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Conduct background checks, social media investigations, and litigation searches
  • Prepare subpoenas for medical, billing, radiology, employment, workers' compensation, and other records
  • Draft comprehensive medical chronologies and Howell analyses
  • Conduct research on jury verdicts and settlements
  • Summarize written discovery and document productions
  • Communicate with experts regarding materials for review, deposition testimony, and trial
  • Prepare trial documents, exhibits, demonstrative evidence, and witness binders
  • Liaise between the trial team and internal/external third parties
  • Assist with voir dire, jury selection, and witness preparation
  • Meet 1500 billable hours annually

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal preferred
  • Familiarity with billable timekeeping
  • Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Trial preparation and trial support experience preferred
