Role overview and responsibilities for the Product Manager in Industrial Cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the establishment of and support the vision for the Industrial Cybersecurity segment, in concert with deep market understanding, to inform the core and new product strategy.
- Develop services that align with growth strategies and support and contribute to the go-to-market strategy for Cybersecurity Services used in the Industrial domain, especially as it relates to grid-tied products used in power generation, distribution, and storage; factory applications; and digital and physical detection and security systems.
- Evangelize and communicate the product vision, strategy and goals internally and externally.
- Define product requirements, develop specifications, and manage the product lifecycle; describe how value will be delivered to the customer/user, how UL's products are differentiated from the competition, and what the business model should be in a given market.
- Prioritize product functions and features to create a product roadmap.
- Monitor a set of product goals, outcomes and corresponding metrics to continually evaluate against and drive future activities and strategies.
- Support an efficient cross-functional matrix structure to enable effective product development lifecycle management.
- Execute a robust set of processes to power all parts of the product development lifecycle from research/discovery to release/launch management and product support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of technical or business experience in the Industrial Cybersecurity industry.
- 5+ years of demonstrated competency in Product Management.
- Ability to lead small to medium groups of internal and external stakeholders towards desired outcomes in order to meet business objectives.
- Ability to conduct discovery sessions with clients, prospects and stakeholders in order to diagnose business opportunities, elicit requirements, and conduct other types of research and analysis.
- Strong communication and presentation (PowerPoint) skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Product/service design, analysis (Power BI), product/service development task management and project management, documentation and knowledge (SharePoint), collaboration (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Slack), roadmap and portfolio management (and related software tools).
- Working with remote teams is highly valued.
What we offer
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 and is based on knowledge/skills, experience, location, and other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of base salary.
