We're currently looking for a Care Companion in Mill Valley, CA 94941
A family in Mill Valley is seeking a Care Companion for their elderly parents. Consistent care is needed on Saturdays and Sundays, with shifts lasting six hours, midday. The family would prefer a shift of 11:00 am until 5:00 pm but they do have flexibility depending on candidate availability.

Additionally, if candidates have weekday, daytime availability for occasional weekdays, with advanced notice, that would be a huge plus!

The ideal candidate would be familiar with the area, personable, and have experience working with adults.

• Schedule:
  • Saturday: 6 hour shift
  • Sunday: 6 hour shift
  • Occasional weekday availability a plus!
• Start date: ASAP
• Rate: $35-40 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation using the family's vehicle (errands, social activities)
• Assist with grocery shopping
• Prepare and cook meals
• Help with light housekeeping
• Offer companionship and conversation
• Remind about medications as needed
• Support with mobility and walking
• Encourage, plan and engage in recreational activities (reading, games, light exercise)

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 2+ years of paid, professional Adult Care experience (Memory care a plus!)
• Must be able to provide at least two professional adult care references
• Infant CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Has valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of driver's insurance
• Must have own, reliable transportation to and from position - there is no public transportation near the home
• Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check

Compensation

Position pays $35-40 per hour and client is looking for 12 hours per weekend, with potential occasional care needs.
