How do you keep millions of users safe while still moving fast? That's the challenge at the heart of this role. We're hiring a senior software security engineer to embed trust into every layer of a fast-growing platform.

Compensation

$150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

$150,000 - $250,000 + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product security strategy, ensuring defenses are built into architecture, systems, and workflows from the ground up.
• Build platform-wide security capabilities.
• Lead threat modeling and architecture reviews to secure both new and existing features.
• Partner with engineering teams to design secure APIs, data flows, and authentication systems that scale to millions of users.
• Enable developers with secure-by-default frameworks, tooling, and practices thatAccelerate delivery without compromising safety.
• Track and apply cutting-edge security research to stay ahead of emerging attack techniques.
• Mentor engineers across the organization on secure coding, design trade-offs, and operational security.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software or security engineering, with scope in securing large-scale, user-facing platforms.
• Proven success building systems to detect, mitigate, and prevent adversarial behavior.
• Deep experience with threat modeling, secure design, and risk assessment.
• Hands-on expertise embedding security features into high-traffic production systems.
• Strong backend development skills (Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or Go), with flexibility across the stack.
