Avirmax CMC, Inc. based in San Francisco Bay Area, is dedicated to innovate, develop and manufacture adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector mediated biotherapeutics using its proprietary protein therapeutics and VSafTM-Sf-AAV technology. Avirmax Inc. is a rapid and highly dynamic entity in AAV innovation, development and large-scale production for preclinical and clinical investigations. We are now expanding our capacity to deep understanding the basic biochemical properties of AAV therapeutics. We are looking for a highly motivated, creative and collaborative Biochemist/Chemist to support research efforts to discover and develop novel AAV based therapies in a wide range of unmet medications. The successful candidate will help to build and lead the Biochemical/Chemical Analytical of AAV. The candidate will be a highly motivated individual who leads from the bench and enjoys having broad responsibilities and hands-on opportunities. This position provides the exciting opportunity to build a team and establish a new core function of our AAV therapeutics development

Experience: It requires a Ph.D. with 5-10 years of relevant experience in biochemistry, chemistry, and other biological sciences. The candidates are expected to demonstrate a tracking record in quality control in adeno associated vector (AAV) or protein therapeutic development. He/she is expected to be familiar and hands-on AAV quality and quantity analysis. Analytical method, validation and implementation are required.

Motivation: She/he should be highly motivated in an entrepreneurship environment. She/he will work on AAV-mediated biotherapeutic development, characterization of AAV structural aspects of AAV products manufactured by various systems.

Initiative: He/she can initiate projects under minimal supervision, executes and delivers results on timely manner.

Knowledge: Deep knowledge in biological sciences that applies to daily work. He/she is capable of problem solving independently; Familiar with a variety of the concepts, practices, and procedures in biological experiment design and execution.

Skill: Very skillful in designing and interpret data independently; Specifically with hands-on skills in gene therapy vector quality control and characterization, cell culture, in vitro and ex vivo assay development, gene therapy product in vitro and ex vivo evaluation.


Leadership: He/she may lead a team and report to management on key findings and achievement of milestones in research and development, which contributes to the company achieving significant milestones. May lead and direct the work of others in the same or cross functional teams.

Integrity: He/she should be respectful, responsible, flexible and cooperative with internal and external customers.

Direction: A wide degree of creativity and latitude are expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Communication: Effective communication within the project team, company, external collaborative teams and conferences.

Report: Write fluently experiment proposals, SOPs, internal reports, and drafts of publications and clear demonstration in public.


Compliance

Experienced and work under S Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guideline. Solid tracking record in GLP study management.
