We comprise a small team of accomplished investors with a mandate to invest in buyouts, growth, and private credit in tech businesses globally. We seek an experienced Vice President of Originations to join the team and work on deal origination and capital deployment across the firm.


Position Overview:

The Vice President of Originations will be involved in the investment side of our credit and growth equity business, focusing on the TMT sectors and healthcare sectors, with healthcare investments typically focused on healthcare IT and tech-enabled services. This role will provide a unique opportunity to apply the fundamentals of investment banking, research, and asset management to investing in the private credit and growth equity asset class. At the same time, the investment professional will support the team's efforts related to new investment origination, execution, and analysis for existing private funds. An ideal candidate should have extensive origination and sourcing experience at an investment firm, or other financial services firm with significant experience in the technology sector.


Responsibilities:

  • Originate, source, and evaluate potential new investments across the technology sector.
  • Provide quality input and feedback on new deal opportunities to the CIO and Managing Director of Originations; participate in investment deal meetings.
  • Play a lead role in the origination and deal execution process of an investment.
  • Managing external providers identifying key threshold issues and performing financial and operational analysis to investigate those issues.
  • Lead the development of investment deal communications/memos and actively participate in the investment discussions.
  • Provide mentorship and assist in training and developing the current investment team members.
  • Build relationships and work with portfolio company management to monitor performance and execute growth strategies during the firm's hold period.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance & accounting/business/economics, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of buy-side transaction experience at a lower or middle-market private credit or growth equity firm.
  • Strong quantitative & analytical skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Previous middle-market private credit experience specifically.
  • Provide sourcing support for the deal team.
  • Interact with General Counsel and outside counsel and be involved in transactions.
  • Work with the CIO to source private transactions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with founders and intermediaries.
  • Examine the strategic and financial merits of proposed transactions.
  • Assisting team members in preparing investment memos and data rooms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (face-to-face, telephone, and written communication).
  • Industry knowledge and understanding of industry-wide financial benchmarking.
  • Desire to work hard and do timely and excellent work.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Personality, charisma and energy; ability to interact with various “clients” – people within the firm, investors, CEOs/CFOs of our companies, etc.
