We are looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for our Data Science Team. If you are excited by technology that handles hundreds of thousands of transactions per second, collects tens of billions of events each day, and evaluates thousands of data points in real time with millisecond responses, IAS is the place for you.

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at IAS, you will be part of a team at the center of innovation and a major contributor to our core products. You will oversee a sophisticated suite of data science systems making large-scale business predictions in advertising inventory across open web, social networks, video/CTV, and mobile apps. You will push the boundaries of machine learning applications and deliver best-in-class solutions for our clients. You will manage a group of data scientists and cultivate innovation, developing high-performing talent and producing a lasting impact on the IAS business.

What you'll get to do

• Build large-scale deep learning infrastructure or platforms for distributed model training
• Build large-scale distributed systems with tools such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Prometheus, etc.
• Develop deep learning frameworks
• Drive system design for our AI/ML-based services
• Design, develop and support our CI/CD pipeline for AI/ML-based services

You should apply if you have most of this experience

• PhD/Master's degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent years of experience
• 7-10+ years of machine learning experience in industry
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related frameworks
• Experience building large-scale deep learning infrastructure or platforms for distributed model training
• Experience with large-scale AI training infra components, such as accelerators, network fabrics, CUDA, NCCL, RDMA
• Strong programming skills in Python or Go; understanding of data structures, software design principles, and algorithms
• Experience working with machine learning, ranking infrastructures, and system design
• Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms
• Able to prioritize duties and work well on your own
• Ability to work with both internal and external partners
• Skilled at solving open ambiguous problems
• California Applicants: The salary range for this position is $150,900 – $200,400. Actual pay may vary based on experience or geographic location.
