Overview

Our client is an $50bn global asset manager looking to hire a VP on their middle market private equity team. The team focuses on control investments in a diverse set of industries, geographies, and investment strategies.

Responsibilities

The VP will focus on investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management functions of the firm. Specific responsibilities include:

• Investment approval materials – Lead and coordinate investment memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee
• Industry research – Conduct research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, etc.
• Financial analysis – Create financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies
• Third party diligence – Facilitate diligence activities with third-party partners (e.g., senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, strategy consultants)
• Portfolio management – Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies

Qualifications

• 6+ years of total work experience in private equity investing
• Excellent academic credentials, Bachelor's degree or above, preferably within a finance, economics or mathematics discipline
• Experience in conducting research and due diligence, and producing client ready investment materials
• Strong quantitative aptitude with a high attention to detail
