Position description

The Berkeley School of Education (BSE) at the University of California, Berkeley is recruiting for one Coordinator of Public Programs position. This position will serve as coordinator for the research programs under the supervision of Professor Glynda Hull. Depending on qualifications appointment may be made into either the Assistant or Full Coordinator of Public Programs title.

Coordinators will be responsible for supervising professional and operational staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students to implement outreach activities, and will work closely with other Leadership Programs staff in delivering high-quality services to eligible program participants. Their duties may include but are not limited to:

  1. Designing, leading, planning, implementing, and evaluating University sponsored contract and grant funded programs with campus and community partners,
  2. Extending the intellectual resources of the University to address education, health, and labor issues at all levels from pre-school through graduate students and their teachers in both formal and out-of-school settings, through engagement and collaboration.
  3. Participating with academic and community partners in developing programs focused explicitly on increasing opportunities and also increasing access to opportunities for underrepresented and under-resourced communities.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Bachelor's Degree or or equivalent international degree.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
-For candidates with a Bachelor's or equivalent international degree: seven years of experience in educational administrative management.
-For candidates with a Master's or equivalent international degree: five years of experience in educational administrative management.
-For candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree no experience in educational administrative management is required.
