Audio AI Recruitment Consultant @ Lumicity | Recruiting Researchers & Engineers with Foundational AI Experience

We're on a mission to take LLMs beyond demos and embed them into mission-critical healthcare workflows. We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to own and scale the backend systems that power our AI-driven products. If you thrive at the intersection of backend architecture and applied AI—and want your code to directly improve healthcare—you'll feel right at home here.

What You'll Do

• Build the Backend for LLMs – Architect scalable, low-latency APIs and services that wrap, orchestrate, and optimize models.
• Engineer Data & RAG Pipelines – Ingest, preprocess, and ground LLMs in clinical and revenue-cycle data.
• Lead LLMOps & Observability – Deliver monitoring, cost tracking, and guardrails to keep systems reliable and safe.
• Optimize at Scale – Design caching, batching, and load-balancing strategies for cloud-native LLM workloads.
• Ship Secure Systems – Build HIPAA-ready infrastructure with rigorous data governance.
• Collaborate & Lead – Partner with ML engineers, product, and healthcare experts while mentoring peers and setting best practices.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of backend/full-stack engineering (3+ with ML/LLM-enabled systems).
• Fluency in Python + a statically typed language (Go, Java, TypeScript, etc.).
• Experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs).
• Familiarity with CI/CD for ML, monitoring, reproducibility, and LLMOps.

Bonus: Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, HIPAA), RAG pipelines, vector DBs, and safety/privacy techniques.
