What you'll do

Develop embedded software and board support packages (BSP) for high-end consumer electronics. You'll work on Embedded C and C++, pushing the limits of performance and efficiency. Bare metal coding will give you full control over hardware interaction, while RTOS (ideally FreeRTOS) will challenge you to optimise real-time systems.

Wireless technologies like WiFi, Bluetooth/BLE and LoRa will be a big part of your work, enabling you to shape connectivity in ways that impact user experience and device reach. You'll also get hands-on with Linux programming, expanding your toolkit across different platforms.

The role is based on site in San Francisco, California, and the base salary for this role is in the region of $190k to $220k.

What you'll need

• Strong experience in low-level firmware development, giving you the skills to work close to the metal
• Proven track record in BSP development, so you can build support layers for complex hardware
• Hands-on knowledge of wireless tech (WiFi, Bluetooth, LoRa) and RTOS environments to keep systems performant and reliable
