Principal Consultant - Smart Health/Wearables/Bio-tech

An ambitious AI-driven biotech startup is seeking a Founding ML Engineer to build the core machine learning models powering the next generation of molecular discovery. This is a rare opportunity to shape the technical direction of a company revolutionizing R&D through AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and train novel ML architectures for biomolecular interaction modeling
  • Build high-quality datasets and autonomous data collection pipelines
  • Analyze model performance, guide data strategy, and improve generalization
  • Develop scalable ML infrastructure and lead future model development
  • Work closely with founders in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Strong ML engineering & software fundamentals (Python, PyTorch/JAX/TensorFlow)
  • Expertise in model architecture design and training optimization
  • Deep knowledge of mathematics, algorithms, statistics, data science
  • Skilled in SQL and dataset creation
  • Experience running large-scale GPU training pipelines

Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with biochemical/structural biology datasets
  • Exposure to foundation models (AlphaFold, ESM, RoseTTAFold)
  • Experience with LLM agents and large model deployment
  • 1-2% Equity
