This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape a world-class procurement organization and play a key role in redefining how the company partners with its suppliers.

Role Overview

The Sr. Manager of Professional Services Procurement will lead the Professional Services category and manage a small team (4–5 people across Senior, Expert, and Principal levels). This leader will own the end-to-end category strategy for professional services and consulting spend, including partnerships with major consulting and professional services firms (Big 4, strategy firms, and outsourcing partners).

Beyond tactical RFP execution, this role will focus on developing long-term strategies, building roadmaps with stakeholders, and ensuring supplier performance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 procurement professionals.
  • Develop and execute end-to-end category strategies for Professional Services spend.
  • Manage relationships with large consulting firms and professional services providers.

  • Build frameworks, processes, and metrics that support category success.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders, balancing cost, risk, and value.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, managing and developing teams.
  • 3–5+ years of Professional Services procurement experience (category depth, not generalist).
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing category strategies.
  • Experience negotiating/managing contracts with consulting firms (Big 4, strategy firms, outsourcing partners).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and executive presence.
  • Process-driven mindset, comfortable in structured and regulated environments.

Preferred

  • Experience with structured sourcing frameworks (e.g., 7-step sourcing).
  • Consulting or Big 4 background (internal or client-facing).
  • Experience in utilities, energy, or highly regulated industries.

Why Join

  • Ground-floor opportunity: Play a pivotal role in building a new procurement organization from the ground up.
  • Leadership exposure: Partner directly with senior executives and influence strategy for billions in spend.
  • Inclusive culture: Join a collaborative and supportive leadership team with strong executive sponsorship.
