This San Francisco–based AI company has built a product that is one of the only uses of AI that doesn't feel like exactly what everyone else is doing. Disruptive doesn't begin to describe it and they're giving users the ability to design their own interaction! They are fresh off a major funding round and the product is already being adopted by global enterprises. Now the team is looking for their first design leader to own product usability, shape customer-facing experiences, and lay the foundation for design culture. Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll play a pivotal role in how the product is experienced and sold. They are open to a Head of Design title for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own design: set the standard for UX, UI, interaction, and data visualization
• Reimagine dashboards, analytics, and workflow tools with simplicity and usability at the core
• Translate AI-native interactions (voice-first, query-based workflows) into clear, delightful product experiences
• Balance product priorities: ship customer-ready designs fast, support sales demos, and refine systems as you go
• Collaborate daily with founders, engineers, and PMs in a fast-moving, high-iteration environment
• Establish design systems and guidelines that scale as the company grows
• Create polished sales and investor assets that bring the product story to life

What You'll Need:

• Hands-on designer with proven ownership of complex, data-rich products (dashboards, analytics platforms, AI tools)
• Portfolio that shows craft, precision, and the ability to simplify the complex
• Background at a high-design-caliber startup or product-led company (think Notion, Linear, Stripe, Slack)
• Startup or founding designer experience strongly preferred - comfortable with ambiguity, moving fast, and wearing many hats
• Be able to be in-office in San Francisco (relo provided if needed)
• Bonus: experience with AI-native workflows or conversational product design
