Summary

This role is responsible for the strategy, execution and delivery of valuation engagements from proposal preparation to project completion. You will manage the strategy for renewable energy valuation assignments and staff and develop business. You will build and lead a dynamic team of professionals to provide the highest quality appraisals and consulting solutions to our clients. You will work closely with your appraisal team to develop and drive a strategic growth plan for the practice, while producing thorough reports, meeting deadlines, and fostering client relationships. You will also work closely with our renewable energy team at our sister companies, Partner Engineering & Science Inc. (ESI) and Partner Energy, which have a robust practice already generating significant appraisal volume. We need a dynamic leader to collaborate with this team, actively pursue new opportunities and clients, and drive growth in our valuation business.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop valuation market strategy and ensure execution and delivery of engagements
  • Within the initial 3 months of employment build a team of analysts and associates in the local market/region.
  • Supervise the workload of Analysts and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product
  • Oversee analysis of client financial statements and develop financial models
  • Review Partner Valuation Advisors (PVA) work product for quality and accuracy as well as provide comments and guidance to the PVA valuation team.
  • Oversee preparation of necessary exhibits and memos in illustration of complex issues
  • Ensure quality controls are adhered in association with all work products
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings
  • Build strong relationships with market and business line leaders to exchange best practices, accelerate innovation and ensure quality and consistency
  • Lead client development efforts nationally for renewable energy valuation in partnership with Partner ESI and Partner Energy as needed.
Qualifications
  • An active certified general real estate appraiser license is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant field required
  • Masters in Business Administration, preferred
  • 8+ years of real estate valuation experience
  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience
  • Strategic understanding of commercial real estate appraisal and the renewable energy sector
  • Significant cost segregation and machinery and equipment valuation experience is preferred.
  • Existing client relationships and in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy space and asset types.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Active Certified General Appraiser License, required
  • MAI designation or candidate, preferred
  • CPA, CFA, AM, ASA or other valuation industry credentials preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to travel to asset tours
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone and via emails
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
  • Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
