Job Description: Staff Backend Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Backend Engineer to join our innovative team. As a key player in our engineering department, you will contribute to our mission of providing top-notch healthcare solutions through the development of robust software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and services that are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
• Analyze and improve performance, reliability, and security of existing services and applications.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and improving team standards.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and incorporate them into the development process.
• Mentor and guide junior developers to enhance their skills and contribute effectively to the team.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or a similar role, with a strong understanding of backend development fundamentals.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or Golang.
• Experience with backend frameworks and technologies, such as Node.js, Spring, Django, or Ruby on Rails.
• Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desired Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Experience with API design and implementation, including RESTful services and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control systems (Git).
• Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
