Role Overview:
We're hiring a Staff Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Twilio APIs and communications infrastructure. You'll lead the implementation of our telephony and omnichannel messaging platform-from voice call routing and custom softphones to SMS, WhatsApp, and webchat integrations.
You'll work closely with AI engineers, product teams, and designers to create intelligent agent workflows, build streaming pipelines to services like Deepgram and OpenAI, and enable skill-based routing, transcription, analytics, and more.
This role is highly technical, hands-on, and outcome-driven. You'll architect scalable systems, implement event-driven services, and guide best practices for real-time comms infrastructure.
