Sr. Cloud Network Automation Engineer SME
Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Framework Development:
2. Design, develop, and implement automation workflows using Ansible and Terraform to manage cloud networking resources in Azure and GCP .
3. Create reusable modules, playbooks, and templates to standardize network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring processes.
4. Cloud Networking Architecture:
5. Collaborate with cloud architects to design scalable, secure, and high-performance networking solutions for multi-cloud environmens
6. Automate the deployment and management of Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and routing configurations.
7. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
8. Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and industry best practices.
10. CI/CD Integration:
11. Integrate automation tools with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery of network changes.
12. Implement version control and testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability.
13. Troubleshooting and Optimization:
14. Monitor and troubleshoot automated workflows to identify and resolve issues quickly.
15. Optimize existing automation processes to improve performance and reduce operational overhead.
16. Collaboration and Mentorship:
17. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and application development, to align automation efforts with business goals.
18. Mentor junior engineers and share expertise to build a culture of automation excellence.
19. Documentation and Reporting:
20. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation workflows, scripts, and processes.
21. Provide regular updates and reports on automation progress, challenges, and outcomes.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud automation, with a focus on Azure and GCP environments.
  • Proven expertise in using Ansible and Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, firewalls, NAT gateways, and load balancers.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and GCP Deployment Manager.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS) and security best practices.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-305).
  • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Network Engineer).
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.

• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and service mesh architectures.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
