Description:

Staff Software Engineer, Frontend Platform About The Role

Developers use Alchemy to build incredible apps on the blockchain that operate at enormous scale. All of our customers' first experience is our web dashboard, where they use Alchemy to launch, debug and monitor their apps. As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you'll be building the user-facing features that are critical to our customers success while also defining the internal standards and tooling that empower our own engineers with a great development experience.

What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable frontend infrastructure, component libraries, and client-side services
  • Lead stand-up meetings, and code reviews focused on frontend architecture and performance
  • Develop and enforce best practices for frontend infrastructure, emphasizing high performance, accessibility, and iteration speed
  • Collaborate with backend engineers, technical leaders, product managers, and designers to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions
  • Define the vision for the SDK (across a wide range of platforms and features) that enables our customers to connect to onchain rails and experiences
  • Drive adoption of modern frontend tooling, frameworks, and practices to enhance developer experience and user satisfaction
  • Champion best practices around code quality, type safety, and API design keeping developer ergonomics in mind
  • Evangelize for developer experience to other product teams and help them build beautiful, intuitive experiences
  • Develop roadmap planning and open-source ecosystem projects
What We're Looking For
  • You're excited about where Web3 could go next, and you can translate that excitement into technical vision and practical frontend architectures.
  • You have strong opinions about good developer tools and frameworks, and you can guide a team toward building maintainable, scalable frontend systems.
  • You ship high-quality products, set the bar for engineering excellence, and foster a culture of continuous feedback by listening to users and iterating quickly.
  • You have 8+ years of industry experience, with at least 3+ years leading frontend teams or projects—preferably in scrappy, high-growth startup environments as a founder, tech lead, or early hire.
  • You have a BS/BA in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience).
  • You have a proven track record of designing component libraries, establishing coding standards, and driving architectural decisions that balance speed and scalability.
  • You're comfortable owning the end-to-end frontend experience, from performance optimization and accessibility to CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies.
