Overview

Managing Director, Wealth Planning & Advice AI — lead the teams delivering holistic Wealth Planning and Performance Reporting for Schwab's Retail and Wealth Advisory clients, and support AI product efforts for Wealth & Advice products and platforms. Shape planning, product strategy, integration and governance; foster AI-powered innovation from ideation to implementation to deliver long-term client value and scalable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the strategy, integration and governance for AI across the Wealth & Advice Solutions organization and scale AI capabilities.
  • Drive change and growth by cultivating AI capabilities, promoting the value and influence of innovation.
  • Define strategic offers and platform direction for broad wealth planning, including estate and tax planning capabilities, alongside core financial planning and retirement income.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and experimentation, driving development of groundbreaking products and services and maintaining competitiveness in a changing market.
  • Oversee development and launch of new products, services, and business models; evaluate success and iterate based on feedback and market insights.
  • Define offers, develop platforms/data infrastructure, oversee launches of scalable products and capabilities for the firm.
  • Maintain efficiency across people and technology ecosystems enabling CFPs, advisor-assisted plans and self-directed client experiences.
  • Build future-state experiences for reps and client segments; collaborate with client-facing and offerings leaders of specialty planning capabilities.
  • Create an infrastructure for central planning data, enabling scalable, reliable financial planning and performance platforms with accessible data for digital self-managed tools and insights.
  • Lead performance reporting capabilities for retail and wealth advisory across Portfolio Health, Portfolio Checkup and other advisor-facing reporting.
  • Partner with senior leaders to future-proof investments and scale planning data domains for Schwab over the coming decade.
  • Collaborate with risk partners, legal counsel and regulators as new capabilities are introduced to the marketplace.

What you have

Required Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in building, shaping and leading digital wealth platforms, products and offers in large-scale wealth management environments.
  • Executive presence to convey complex concepts in relatable terms across diverse use cases and audiences.
  • Experience with generational and/or conversational AI or ML-driven digital products.
  • Willingness to offer bold perspectives to challenge the status quo and drive change.
  • Track record of building robust capabilities and scaling digital wealth products across multiple channels and experiences.
  • Deep knowledge of technologies delivering wealth management and their risk frameworks.
  • Experience designing end-to-end experiences that achieve superior results at scale.
  • Experience gathering data and synthesizing insights to understand client needs and inform product design and positioning.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills to influence across business, technology, marketing, regulatory and other areas.
  • Bachelor's degree required; post-graduate degree is a plus.

  • Strong people leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Strong preference for CFP, CFA and/or Series 24 qualifications.
