We are the leading B2B fintech platform serving the private lending industry. We've been in business for over 30 yrs, have over 1,200 customers and have helped originate and service over $200 billion in loans with speed, compliance and scale.

We're hiring for a greenfield initiative. You will spearhead development of our next‑generation product, working directly with the product leader. Your mission is to translate business requirements into a scalable technology roadmap, initially do 80% of the coding and ultimately building and mentoring a high‑performing engineering team to deliver a robust and secure MVP that can grow into a market‑leading solution.

What You'll be Doing

• Define and own the technical strategy: Select the technology stack and architecture to deliver the product vision, balancing short‑term speed with long‑term scalability.
• Build and lead the engineering team: Hire, mentor and manage developers; establish development processes; and promote a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
• Deliver the MVP and iterate: Oversee design and implementation of the minimum viable product and subsequent releases, ensuring high quality and on time delivery.
• Ensure code quality and security: Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews and implement testing and DevOps practices to maintain a secure, maintainable codebase.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally: Work closely with product, sales and support teams to align technical development with customer needs; communicate technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Act as a long‑term partner: Participate in strategic planning and help shape the product roadmap and growth strategy.

What You Need

• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering with modern languages/frameworks and strong architecture skills.
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams or leading complex projects as a lead engineer, principal architect or hands-on director in high growth environments.
• Expertise in designing and launching SaaS products or MVPs in a startup or high‑growth environment.
• Comfortable being on‑site in Bay Area with flexibility for hybrid work.
• Experience building a product from 0 to 1.
• Experience in fintech, lending or enterprise software.
