Overview

Senior Business Development Manager at Microsoft. The Data & AI Business Development team is responsible for strategic partnerships, opportunity identification, and growth initiatives across Microsoft's Data & AI portfolio.

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join the team driving AI partnerships and strategic initiatives, focused on commercial growth of Azure AI across AI Native and Digital Native companies.

Responsibilities
  • Define and author commercial and ecosystem strategies in collaboration with product and marketing teams, including partnership constructs, business models, and GTM strategies.
  • Expand the reach and relevance of the Microsoft AI platform through meaningful engagements with leading partners and customers.
  • Stay informed on the AI space: follow the latest AI news, develop technical/platform depth, and identify and execute market trends.
  • Demonstrate and live Microsoft values and principles of teamwork, curiosity, self-awareness, integrity, diversity and allyship.

This work helps to develop partner strategies that enable commercial acceleration of our AI Platform.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Energy, Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Sustainability Technology, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 5+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., enterprise technology, investment banking, strategy consulting, finance, corporate strategy, venture capital, business development, or related field).
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in structuring and negotiating complex strategic partnerships or acquisitions.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field AND 7+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., investment banking, consulting, finance, corporate strategy, sales, venture capital, legal, business development, product management, project management, or related field).
  • OR Master's/Advanced Degree in Business, Sciences, or related field AND 5+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., investment banking, consulting, finance, corporate strategy, sales, venture capital, legal, business development, product management, project management, or related field).
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in the technology industry or in a technical role (e.g., IT, Engineering).
Compensation & Apply

Business Development IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
