What You'll Do

• Push the boundaries of AI research - Explore and implement cutting-edge research in retrieval, search, reasoning, and tool calling to orchestrate intelligent agents
• Design RL experiments - Leverage organizational context trapped across GitHub, documentation, CI/CD tools, and other development platforms
• Shape product strategy - Work directly with founders and early customers in tight feedback loops to prove technical feasibility and consistency
• Build the future - Use modern AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Coderabbit, Warp) to accelerate your work

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Master's/PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field
• 8+ years of hands-on research experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow and transformer models
• Deep familiarity with LLM training and fine-tuning methods: distillation, SFT, RL, and policy optimization
• Thrives in ambiguous, early-stage environments with open questions and whitespace
• Proven ability to work autonomously in fast-paced startup environments

Bonus Points:

• Experience shipping models for search relevance, ads ranking, recommendation systems, or computer vision
• Prior experience building or applying models specifically for coding applications
• Strong open source contributions or GitHub projects demonstrating your passion and skills
