The Role

The Service Protection team in India at Salesforce.com is seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our team to focus on system resiliency and high availability of our multi-tenant, on-demand cloud computing system. You will work with our distributed systems software engineering team to train and deploy machine learning models to detect anomalies and automate resolution to address availability and scalability challenges.

Responsibilities

• Use infrastructure data to assess, design, implement, train, and test machine learning models to detect anomalies
• Work with data and software engineers to apply ML models and scale to production deployments for anomaly detection
• Design and implement major pieces of Salesforce core infrastructure, delivering high-quality, production-ready code

Basic Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in one or more of: machine learning, recommendation systems, data mining
• Experience with deep neural networks and Gaussian processes
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
• Experience with Java and Python
• Solid understanding of probability and statistics
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale data in high-throughput environments
• Experience with Kafka or messaging/streaming tools
• Experience with agile software development and short release cycles
