About The Opportunity
Join a high-velocity engineering team that designs and ships resilient backend systems, APIs, and platform services used by cross-functional product teams. You will drive technical ownership for components that require strong systems thinking, performance tuning, and production reliability at scale.
Industry & Sector: Cloud-native Enterprise SaaS delivering scalable developer tools and infrastructure solutions for modern engineering organizations. We build distributed, production-grade systems that power mission-critical workloads for global customers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and own highly available microservices and backend APIs that serve large-scale traffic with low latency.
- Drive architecture and implementation decisions across the stack: data models, storage patterns (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and event-driven systems.
- Ship secure, well-tested code—lead code reviews, define testing strategies, and establish CI/CD best practices.
- Instrument systems for observability: metrics, tracing, and logging; proactively diagnose and resolve production incidents.
- Collaborate with product, security, and SRE teams to scope features, estimate delivery, and define SLAs and SLOs.
- Mentor engineers, promote engineering excellence, and contribute to roadmap and technical planning.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 5+ years building backend systems or platform services in production (Python, Java, or Go).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, REST/GraphQL API design, and database modeling (SQL & NoSQL).
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and observability tooling.
Preferred
- Experience driving reliability engineering practices (SLOs, incident retrospectives) and performance optimization at scale.
- Background in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or large-scale data processing.
Benefits & Culture Highlights
- Hybrid work model with flexible remote days and collaborative on-site engineering sprints.
- Competitive compensation, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision).
- Growth-focused culture: mentorship, learning stipends, and frequent technical brown-bags.
We seek pragmatic engineers who care about user impact, code quality, and system reliability. If you enjoy owning end-to-end outcomes and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, this role offers a platform to influence technical direction and deliver meaningful product outcomes.
