Our San Francisco office is seeking a Project Architect to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of architects to develop technical documents for complex projects such as senior living, mixed-use, and multi-family developments.
- Prepare, coordinate, and finalize construction document packages.
- Oversee daily construction administration activities, coordinating with contractors, owners, and consultants to ensure project progress.
- Mentor junior staff, providing oversight and monitoring their work.
- Establish and execute project work plans and staffing requirements.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients.
- Participate in recruiting and performance management of staff.
- Meet with owners and user groups to determine program and planning requirements.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of professional experience.
- An active Architectural Registration.
- LEED AP certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering systems and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong communication skills to build client relationships and trust.
- Excellent mentoring, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is desirable.
- Experience leading architectural teams.
- Understanding of code implementation, jurisdiction review, especially for Residential, Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly, OSHPD 2, and Skilled Nursing Facilities.
- Knowledge of construction practices for Type I and Type V construction types.
