WHAT WILL YOU DO: Due to expansion, we are seeking a Sales Design Engineer. You will be a technical consultant, generating project scope, flow diagrams, and equipment lists for customer proposals. You will also assist post-sales with project engineering and consultation, providing technical reviews and end-user training for AV projects, with a thorough understanding of AV industry standards, IP networks, and deployment methodologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support project managers and implementation teams, including hands-on and remote commissioning.
• Provide technical training for end-users.
• Amend and adapt AV system designs, including CAD schematics.
• Stay current with system technologies through manufacturer training.
• Create scope of work and bill of materials for client quotes.
• Review and approve technical documents for deployment.
• Lead on project bids and provide technical feedback to improve processes.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• 5+ years of AV design experience or 8+ years of professional AV industry experience.
• Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of control, audio, video, and VoIP technologies.
• CTS certification or higher.
• Excellent communication skills and client interaction confidence.
• Knowledge in AV systems design, conferencing, video walls, control systems, and infrastructure.
• Willingness to work across time zones and travel if needed.
• Valid driver's license.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

• CTS-D, CTS-I certifications.
• Engineering degree, AutoCAD, BIM, and software skills.
• Additional certifications like Shure, QSC, Lightware.
