Senior Director of Engineering reports to the CTO and leads the development of our CRM and Sourcing products, ensuring a strong technical foundation that drives outstanding customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Shape Product Roadmap: Collaborate with product and design leaders to establish a compelling future vision for our product, crafting a strategic roadmap that integrates product, design, and engineering.
• Lead Engineering Execution: Guide engineering execution to deliver high-quality software and a delightful user experience through continuous, iterative development, while refining development approaches and delivery processes.
• Develop Teams: Lead and develop a high-performing team through leadership, coaching, and mentoring, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and inclusive development opportunities.
• Craft Technical Strategy: Drive and execute a technical strategy aligned with Affinity's business and product needs, focusing on high quality, usability, and fast performance across applications and APIs.

Desired experience

• B2B SaaS enterprise experience leading engineering in complex, customer-focused environments.
• 8+ years building scalable web applications with large data volumes and rich visualizations.
• 8+ years in engineering leadership, overseeing multiple teams through managers and team leads.
• Interest in practical applications of AI to enhance productivity and delight customers.
• Experience coaching and managing engineering leaders (e.g., Engineering Managers, Staff Engineers).
• People-focused leadership—support growth, challenge when needed, and cultivate talent density from recruiting to development.
• Ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term strategy.
• Pride in delivering a high-quality product with strong functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborative work style across engineering and other functions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to listen and represent diverse perspectives.

Tech stack

Note: The role compensation details reflect base salary only and do not include equity or benefits. Estimated current range: $200,000 to $337,365 USD. Final offer depends on location, experience, and other factors.
