Director/Senior Managing Consultant, Services Business Development-Global Fintech & B2B Service Providers
Mastercard Services provides cutting edge services in the areas of Business & Market Intelligence, Customer Acquisition and Engagement, Security Solutions, and Open Banking. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast, our sales team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse customer base including large tech companies, ecommerce, media, fintechs, bin sponsors, processors & program managers. As a member of our Digital Partner & Fintech Business Development team, you will be at the frontline of generating excitement and demand for our unique solutions. The Role
As Senior Managing Consultant, you will be instrumental in driving growth with some of our key customers. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic clients, building on existing relationships and initiating new ones to generate and qualify opportunities and promote Mastercard Services solutions to drive sales.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate strong working relationships with clients, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement while driving revenue growth and expanded buying centers.
- Demonstrate networking skills and initiate contact with new prospects to generate and qualify leads.
- Uncover customer needs beyond explicit requests and craft innovative customer strategies with a customer-first attitude.
- Own the sales process from prospecting to executing commercial contracts, ensuring seamless sales cycles and urgency with clients.
- Achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and projections, delivering strong personal performance.
- Lead pitches from storyboarding to face-to-face presentations, tailoring materials to the audience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define engagement scope aligned with business objectives and client requirements.
- Support project and customer success teams in problem-solving and workplan structuring.
- Create and deliver concise presentations communicating key insights and recommendations.
- Coach and provide feedback to team members; contribute to intellectual capital development.
- Proactively seek new knowledge and skills to stay ahead in the field.
All About You
- Significant B2B sales experience, preferably SaaS, data & analytics, and/or cybersecurity solutions.
- Proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets and quotas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with credibility in account teams.
- Strong written and oral communication and persuasion skills.
- Exceptional relationship management and ability to foster long-term client partnerships.
- Strong networker across relevant stakeholder bases with the ability to influence opportunities and generate revenue.
- Strong commercial drive with ability to monetize senior client relationships through empathy, thought leadership, product impact knowledge, and subject matter expertise.
- Ability to own and drive end-to-end sales including prospecting, scoping/pricing, business case development, contract development, client negotiation, obtaining legal approval, signing contracts, and project kickoff.
- Experience managing projects and/or teams, demonstrating leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of consumer and commercial payments market is a plus.
- High energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment; excellent multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
