Parakeet Health is on a mission to improve the patient experience at your doctor's office. We offer a natural, intelligent, and compliant AI voice answering service for patients and healthcare practices. We automate repetitive phone tasks like appointment scheduling, billing, and general inquiries to give the staff much needed time to take care of higher touch tasks and requests.

We are a team of seasoned healthcare industry veterans (One Medical IPO, Doximity IPO, Epocrates IPO) and technologists (Microsoft, Twitter, Rippling) who are committed to applying gen AI to enable more affordable, effective, and enjoyable care through technology. The Role

We're seeking a driven Software Engineer with a passion for AI and machine learning to build a 0-to-1 product. As an early engineer, you'll be instrumental in shaping the product and developing our voice AI agent.

1. Build and expand our voice and LLM stack to enable fast and capable conversational experiences.
2. Develop new communication modalities to allow customers to engage with their provider in the easiest way possible.
3. Remain at the forefront of LLMs, integrating the latest advancements, evals, and best practices into our development processes to enable new solutions customers didn't know were possible.
4. Work in an ambiguous environment and set your own tasks based on larger goals and understanding of customer needs.

Requirements

5+ years relevant work experience.

Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, robust backend systems.

Aligned with our core values: high agency, craftsmanship, and shipping quickly.

Previous experience at a Series A or B startup is a plus.
