Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Manager in developing project schedules and cash flow/forecast plans with functional department input.
  • Participate in project status meetings, collect progress data, and revise the project plan as needed.
  • Document, monitor, and communicate project milestones and risks with stakeholders.
  • Use the cost and schedule plan to determine if project objectives are achievable.
  • Prepare cost reports, maintain forecast accuracy, and analyze project performance, costs, and schedules.
  • Communicate project cost, schedule, and risk status regularly to team members and stakeholders.
  • Review and assist in preparing Advance Authorizations, Job Estimates, and Re-Authorizations, routing for approval.
  • Prepare journal entries and coordinate goods receipts in the current software system.
  • Ensure responses to budget and cost requests are accurate and stakeholders agree.
  • Verify milestone achievements and identify improvements, working with responsible parties.
  • Manage orders from inception to completion, ensuring documentation is entered correctly.
  • Maintain project documentation and records per established guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Project Controls Analyst.
  • Experience in the utility industry, preferably with the same company.
  • Project controls/budgeting experience with SAP.
  • Project scheduling experience with Primavera.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to start quickly.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
Desired:
  • CAPM or PMP certification.
  • Experience with SPSI reporting and tools like SAP Work Management, BPC, Planning Orders, BW, P6, MS Excel.
  • Experience in Project Management, Controls, or Construction Management.
  • Risk Management and Earned Value Analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of Unifier, ProjectWise, HeavyBid.
  • Mathematical knowledge (algebra, geometry, trigonometry).
  • Understanding of project management tools and financial indicators.
  • Forecasting skills and ability to interpret complex data.
