Atlassian employees can work in an office, from home, or a combination of both. This is a remote position and interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually as part of a distributed-first company. You will preferably be located in the PST timezone.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive financial modeling to evaluate cloud infrastructure costs, pricing scenarios, and ROI of investments, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Lead strategic financial analysis for long-term cloud capacity planning and infrastructure initiatives, balancing growth, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business operations teams to inform and influence the company's cloud and infrastructure strategy through financial insights.
- Support long-term strategic planning, including build vs. buy analysis, and vendor negotiations.
- Influence product-level decisions by analyzing margins and unit economics tied to cloud consumption and cost allocation.
- Contribute to board materials, investor reporting, and leadership presentations related to infrastructure strategy and costs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, or investment banking; experience in a tech/cloud-centric environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cloud cost structures (AWS, Azure, GCP), pricing models, and infrastructure planning.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Tableau) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to turn complex data into clear insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
Compensation
Base pay within the US ranges vary by geographic zone. Zone A: $164,700 - $215,025; Zone B: $148,500 - $193,875; Zone C: $136,800 - $178,600.
