Responsibilities

  • Develop metrics to track and evaluate solution deployment across teams.
  • Create dashboards and tools to automate processes, generate reports, and guide product decisions.
  • Curate and validate data to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the domain, business goals, and data infrastructure context.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.

Preferred qualifications

  • 4 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.
  • Experience in advertising effectiveness, market research, brand strategy, or a related field.
  • Experience with machine learning models and AI techniques.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a changing environment.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, data intuition, and data management.
  • Excellent project management skills.

About the Role

Google's leadership team hand-picks thorny business challenges, and BizOps teams work in small groups to develop solutions. You will immerse yourself in data collection, derive insights, and translate them into synthesized recommendations for senior-level executives, while supporting implementation and measuring impact. The Global Product Solution, YouTube plus Creative Research team works at the intersection of data, creativity, and advertising to help advertisers grow the variety and quality of their ads on our platforms.

Role Scope

As a Business Data Scientist, you will help develop insights that shape how advertisers build their brands on our platform. You will contribute to data pipelines, evaluation metrics, and statistical modeling, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance customer and user experience.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Specific salary for your preferred location will be shared during the hiring process. Compensation details reflect base salary only; bonus, equity, and benefits are listed separately.
