Overview

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Principal Scientist/Engineer to join our talented and diverse technical team. This customer-facing role will bring critical technical know-how to build customer trust, advance sales, and provide high-level technical expertise directly to customers and in collaboration with our global team. The Principal Scientist/Engineer will leverage deep industry knowledge and technical acumen to solve complex customer challenges and drive the adoption of Lumicity's innovative solutions. This role is based in the San Francisco Bay area, and the Scientist/Engineer would support business throughout the West Coast.

Salary

Salary: $170-$190 Base and a competitive package with bonuses!

Responsibilities

• Lead and own technical strategy for customer accounts, driving cross-functional activities to close sales.
• Serve as a trusted technical expert, communicating complex info to diverse audiences and building strong customer relationships.
• Solve customers' toughest technical challenges with innovative, forward-looking solutions.
• Collaborate with technical services, sales, and global teams to deliver tailored, high-impact outcomes.
• Drive innovation and develop new processes to expand technical capabilities.
• 10-20% travel

Educational background and experience

• B.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering
• Background or experience in the following areas is required: PCB components and failure modes, layout consideration, electronics industry, material interface with electronics (coatings, TIM, adhesives, etc.)

The position is remote, but candidates must live near Silicon Valley to support on-site customer meetings.
