Overview

The Director of Commercial Data Strategy & Operations will serve as a strategic partner to the U.S. Commercial organization, leading the strategic identification, planning and implementation of commercial data management to directly support commercial effectiveness. This role will be instrumental in establishing a cross-functional partnership between commercial, analytics, IT, sales, and other groups to enable omnichannel engagement, sales force effectiveness, marketing performance, and market access analytics through high-quality data and scalable platforms. The leader is a hands-on contributor as the team and capabilities transform, and will influence the commercial success of Dompé in the U.S. market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a U.S. data strategy that aligns with brand goals, customer engagement priorities, payer/provider market dynamics, and field execution needs.
  • Prioritize data capabilities that support commercial planning, segmentation, targeting, and omnichannel activation.
  • Partner with commercial leads to identify business-critical data needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Lead the execution of commercial data operations across domains such as HCP/HCO, patient, prescription, claims, and sales data.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of a robust Master Data Management (MDM) program that supports customer-centric execution and compliant promotional activities while ensuring compliance with broader Dompé technical infrastructure and systems.
  • Manage data acquisition pipelines and data quality controls to ensure reliable, timely, and actionable insights.
  • Ensure best practices for data reliability, ingestion, analysis and output across all commercial data streams.
  • Define and enforce enterprise-wide commercial data governance policies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and regulatory frameworks while enabling innovation and speed.
  • Establish and be responsible for data quality standards and KPIs that improve commercial confidence in analytics and automation outputs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Analytics, IT, Quality, Regulatory, and Legal to operationalize commercial strategies through data.
  • Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of data-driven decision-making and self-service analytics tools across commercial teams.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with key technology and data vendors to ensure scalable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Life Sciences).
  • 10+ years of experience in data operations, governance, and strategy—preferably supporting Commercial functions in biotech or pharma.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare data assets, commercial data ecosystems (IQVIA, Symphony, Veeva, etc.), and omnichannel engagement models.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; proficiency in common analytics and CRM tools such as Salesforce, Excel, SQL, BI tools (Looker, Tableau), and forecasting platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), MDM tools, and modern data stacks.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data science/AI analytics tools such as Python (pandas/conda/matplotlib), R (tidyverse, plotly) or SAS and their related ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML use cases in commercial functions (e.g., predictive targeting, segmentation, campaign optimization).
  • Proven success in building cross-functional partnerships and translating data capabilities into business value.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation

$200,000 - $240,000 a year. Actual pay is determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
