The Atlassian Global Experiences team is seeking a Principle Product Designer to enhance our cloud platform through common components across the suite of tools. You will report to the Head of Global Experiences and collaborate with a globally distributed creative team to impact and delight users while pushing platform boundaries and measuring your impact.

Responsibilities

• Elevate the creative quality of platform apps and global navigation through expertise in visual, interaction, and systems design.
• Define design direction by creating cohesive, visually engaging designs that balance function and form, utilizing grids, layouts, and advanced compositions.
• Collaborate with other lead/principal designers to harmonize components, establish patterns, and ensure visual cohesion.
• Lead strategic initiatives while mentoring team members to deliver high-quality designs.
• Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to influence roadmaps and identify opportunities.
• Promote inclusivity and uphold standards and best practices across the organization.
• Use research and data insights to inform and refine designs iteratively.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in product design, especially in Enterprise SaaS, complex systems, or scalable solutions.
• Strong skills in visual design principles, including grids, typography, color, and composition.
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience presenting and articulating design work to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate with product and engineering teams to align on user experience.
• Experience coaching and mentoring designers to improve craft and foster growth.
• Familiarity with design systems and contributing to their evolution.
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools for co-design and iteration.
