As a Lead Backend Engineer on our Chatbot team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and managing features and services to drive the success of one of our largest and fastest growing products at Sense. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our technology infrastructure and contribute to the success of our product, and our organization as a whole. You will work closely with our other product and platform teams, especially our AI/ML team. An excellent candidate would have strong ownership drive with the ability to independently own the execution of large end-to-end projects and work closely with our product and engineering leadership to contribute in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including roadmapping, shaping, and go-to-market.

Responsibilities Of The Role Will Include

• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python, Flask, AsyncIO and other relevant technologies
• Architecting the design and implementation of scalable, performant, and resilient complex features and services
• Driving the development and optimization of database schemas using MySQL and Snowflake
• Utilizing AWS services to architect, deploy, and manage infrastructure
• Troubleshooting and optimizing cloud-based deployments for performance and reliability
• Collaborating with cross-fucntional teams to ensure our architecture decisions align with our organization-wide efforts and business goals
• Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
• Effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members
  
  

We have relatively small team sizes with a lot of ownership and are looking for someone who is eager to learn, help drive the product forward, and make a big impact. That's more important than you having experience with our exact tech stack. We have an excellent technical team and you will get to work with a lot of smart and motivated people.

Pay Transparency Notice: The following represents the base salary range for this position: $170,000-$210,000 USD per annum. This position is qualified to participate in our Stock Options Plan. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below. Full time offers also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
