What You'll Do

• Build cutting-edge technology using the latest advances in deep learning and machine learning to personalize Pinterest.
• Partner with teams across Pinterest to experiment and improve ML models for various product surfaces (Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, Search), gaining cross-domain knowledge.
• Leverage data-driven methods and the unique properties of our data to enhance candidate retrieval.
• Work in a high-impact environment with rapid experimentation and product launches.
• Stay updated with industry trends in recommendation systems.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience applying machine learning methods (e.g., user modeling, personalization, recommender systems, search, ranking, NLP, reinforcement learning, graph representation learning).
• Experience with building data processing pipelines, large-scale ML systems, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop/Spark).
• MS/PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Nice to have: Publications at top ML conferences, expertise in scalable real-time stream processing systems, passion for applied ML and Pinterest products.

At Pinterest, we value an equitable, inclusive, and inspiring workplace. The salary range for this position is $177,309—$310,291 USD, with potential for equity. Final salary depends on location, experience, skills, and other factors.
