PAY RANGE: 130-152K base plus bonus and benefits (Medical Benefits, PTO, Holidays, 401K, etc)

Our technology solutions client is seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer who will be part of a high-impact Federal Services team, designing and implementing modern infrastructure for mission-critical systems. You'll work hands-on with tools that power cloud-native environments, automate everything, and support secure, scalable deployments.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys both architecture and code, loves automation, and is excited about working in a fast-moving environment. You should be comfortable jumping between building CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting infrastructure, and working closely with developers and stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Impact
• Design and define modern DevSecOps architecture for government-facing systems
• Write clean, testable code for automation scripts, infrastructure tooling, and deployment pipelines
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, and Nexus
• Build and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code(Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, etc.)
• Work with containerized applications, including Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
• Create and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments
• Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) across multiple stages (Dev, Staging, Prod)
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance across deployed environments
• Support deployment of new product features in coordination with development teams
• Contribute to technical documentation, environment configs, and training materials
• Support automation and testing strategies across systems
• Maintain strong stakeholder communication across projects
• Adapt and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Essential Experience
• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a DHS USCIS Public Trust (Level 6) clearance• 7+ years of full-time DevOps experience, preferably in a consulting or federal environment
• 4+ years of experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab,Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus, SonarQube)
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
• 4+ years of experience administering and scripting in Linux environments
• 4+ years of experience with version control systems (Git, SVN)
• 4+ years of experience automating infrastructure using Python, Bash, and/or Ruby
• Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)
• Experience managing and deploying relational databases and interacting via SQL
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment using Helm
• Strong communication and documentation skills• Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to shifting priorities
Kudos If You Have
• Experience working with DHS, USCIS, or other federal agencies
• Experience provisioning and maintaining streaming systems like Apache Kafka, Confluent, or similar technologies
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef)
• Experience delivering solutions using Agile methodologies
• Exposure to full-stack development or interest in learning it
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Interest in emerging tech like agentic systems or intelligent automation
