This is a non-licensed position designed to provide assistance to the Clinical Laboratory Scientist by performing certain procedures in the laboratory within limits specified by California Law. The duties include but not limited to: receiving and processing specimens, preparing sendouts, setting up microbiology cultures, performing instrument maintenance, and operating analyzers under the direction of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist. The Clinical Lab Technician must be able to perform EKG and phlebotomy (at least CPT I certified). Job Description:EDUCATION - Associate's: AA degree in science.
