About The Role
As an Engineering Manager for Growth, you will support one team of engineers (7 - 10 engineers). Your fullstack team will focus on creating engaging marketing experiences throughout the member journey through automations, software solutions, data pipelines, and custom integrations.

You will have the opportunity to hire, coach, and foster individual growth. You will guide your team towards key metrics and feedback loops for continuous improvement. As a leader, you should be familiar with your team's tech stack and spend about 15% of your time coding and merging pull requests.

You will work closely with stakeholders to prioritize the team backlog and set sprint goals. To support ongoing improvement, you will track relevant metrics and lead blameless retrospectives to turn insights into actions.

What You'll Accomplish

• Develop and execute a roadmap for full-stack engineering solutions to enhance user experience across platforms.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers, guiding them towards professional and technical growth.
• Motivate and evaluate engineers, providing feedback and identifying improvement areas.
• Lead initiatives to improve workflow processes with practical, measurable solutions.
• Maintain and prioritize the backlog, lead sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Ensure team delivery aligns with the collaboratively defined roadmap.
• Scale the team focusing on experience, technical skills, and AI integration.

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

We support a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence 3 days a week at our San Francisco office, which is dog-friendly.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in SaaS and large-scale systems.
• 2+ years managing 4+ engineers.
• Experience mentoring, collaborating across teams, and project planning.
• Experience resolving conflicts and creative resourcing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with customer data platforms like Segment or Iterable.
• Backend expertise with Nestjs, Kafka, Databricks.
• Knowledge of resilient client-server architectures and international deployment considerations.
• Proficiency in Typescript, Node.js, and Python.
• Experience with AI tools and architectures.

Compensation

Annual salary plus equity and benefits, with a range of $200,000 - $300,000, depending on qualifications and location.
