Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work assignments of different positions and to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job. Transports patrons to various locations, including field trips in the Bay area. Drives a passenger van, bus, or equivalent vehicle over designated routes and established time schedules, pick up and discharges passengers. Physically assists passengers in and out of the vehicle; escorts passengers across streets and roadways as required. Ensures passenger safety and observes guidelines for vehicle capacity. Ensures all safety belts are in working order and are used correctly. Secures wheelchairs and other accessories inside the vehicle. Conducts daily vehicle inspections; performs basic maintenance and ensures cleanliness of the vehicle.
