Description

As a ML engineer on the Maps Evaluation team, you will build AI-based techniques and tools to enhance Maps ML systems. You will evaluate GenAI-based Maps features and collaborate with PMs, ML engineers, scientists, developers, statisticians, and evaluation engineers to improve a core product used by millions daily.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software development experience with languages like Java or Python
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and evaluating search or recommendation systems
  • 3+ years of experience training ML models for production
  • Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Proven ability to collaborate with PMs, developers, and ML scientists/engineers

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields, with publications
  • Experience building and evaluating GenAI-based products or features
  • Proficiency with analytical tools like Jupyter Notebook for data analysis and visualization

Apple offers a total compensation package including a base pay range of $147,400 to $272,100, depending on skills and experience. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounted products, educational reimbursement, stock programs, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance.
