Receptionist

Working at reception, the receptionist greets and provides information to staff, trainees, guests, and the general public. The receptionists and office manager constitute the organization's office team and are responsible for the logistical and administrative backbone of the company's office operations.

Essential job functions include:

  • Creating and maintaining a welcoming, supportive, and effective reception area for the benefit of all members of staff, trainees, and guests.
  • Greeting staff, clients, trainees, vendors, job applicants, and other guests in a friendly and timely manner, both in-person and over the phone. Notifying the appropriate staff members of their arrival.
  • Answering queries from staff, trainees, guests, and the general public and knowing when to refer and/or escalate queries.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the company's service offerings, staff contacts, including training courses, schedules, enrollment procedures, and recruitment procedures.
  • Updating the whiteboard with program staff daily contacts.
  • Distributing HCP paychecks, schedules, and stipend checks. Ensuring signature logs are completed accurately.
  • Executing office opening procedure and office closing procedure daily.
  • Maintaining a professional and organized workspace at the reception area.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, i.e., earlier/later work days to accommodate needs of the organization.

  • 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Upbeat personality.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Able to work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.
  • Able to start work this Wednesday 8/20.
