We are looking for a Lead Data Quality Engineer to join our Reporting and Measurement Engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability of Tatari's measurement dashboards, enhancing data quality, developing safeguards for critical data pipelines, and defining the testing strategy to elevate software quality. Your work will involve creating scalable and effective solutions that empower Tatari to utilize data-driven insights for success in the ever-evolving TV advertising marketplace.

Responsibilities:

• Own the quality of software releases.
• Design and develop a test automation framework for backend systems, data pipelines, and frontend components using modern tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive suite of data-driven automation tests for regression, functional, performance, load, and stress testing.
• Work with the engineering team and relevant stakeholders to enhance functional code coverage of our automation suite in each product release.
• Create and maintain thorough test plans and specifications to minimize launch regressions.
• Execute manual and automated tests, document defects, validate fixes, and suggest improvements to engineering teams as needed.
• Collaborate with SRE to set up the necessary test environments and manage the QA Lab, including the installation and management of web, application, and database servers.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an SDET or Test Automation QA Engineer in a startup environment with object-oriented design and coding skills.
• Proven experience in implementing test automation frameworks for UI, API, microservices, and data pipelines using tools like Playwright, REST-Assured, and Great Expectations.
• A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience testing high-volume web applications with significant backend analytics and data processing components.
• Strong proficiency in Python, along with a solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, including cloud-hosted databases like AWS.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for testing, self-motivated, committed to excellence, and possesses a strong work ethic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
