Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant plays a crucial role in managing warehouse operations, encompassing the entire lifecycle of inventory from receipt to shipment. This position requires a proactive and detail- oriented individual capable of ensuring efficient material flow and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Accurately receive, unload, count, and stock incoming inventory. This includes opening various containers and verifying the condition of items to identify and report any damages or faults.
• Order Fulfillment: Precisely pick and pack items according to manufacturing and work orders, adhering to specified packing guidelines. Process and fulfill customer orders within the inventory system, including inputting tracking information.
• Operational Efficiency: Ensure all orders are processed efficiently to meet customer expectations and business timelines.
• Warehouse Organization & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing shelves, inventory spaces, and workstations, including regular sweeping and vacuuming.
• Data Accuracy: Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy by reconciling physical stock with the inventory management system and meticulously recording all stock movements.
• Collaboration & Communication: Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, and professionally liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies as needed.
• Adaptability & Quality Focus: Demonstrate resilience, assertiveness, and optimism in the face of change. Possess a strong understanding of customer deliverables and the financial impact of quality issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
• Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Inventory Systems: Experience with Fishbowl Inventory Management is a plus.
