This role offers a unique opportunity to specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced HVAC systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. You will work independently in diverse and challenging environments, ensuring climate control systems operate efficiently and reliably. The position demands technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex service tasks while traveling extensively both domestically and internationally. Being available 24/7 to support urgent customer needs, often aboard cruise ships and at ports worldwide, makes this role dynamic and impactful.

Accountabilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning and cooling systems on marine vessels and offshore installations, often working independently under varying conditions.
  • Perform advanced technical analyses and diagnostic tests on mechanical and electrical HVAC systems.
  • Provide service support and lead commissioning activities for new installations in coordination with owners and equipment teams.
  • Identify and report damages or faults in technical installations, documenting findings comprehensively.
  • Manage significant domestic and international travel commitments (up to 80%), responding promptly to urgent customer service requirements.
  • Maintain readiness for 24/7 availability to address unplanned service needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • EPA Certification for refrigerants.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience servicing and repairing chiller units or related marine HVAC systems.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including international trips primarily to cruise ships and port locations.
  • Must be available around the clock to respond to emergency service requests.
  • Strong technical aptitude with mechanical and electrical system knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments and schedules.
